Soroptimist-Best for Women.

Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Almost 100,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based and international projects benefiting women and girls. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best working to help other women to be their best.

Soroptimist International of Camelback, Inc., founded in 1956, is a cohesive club of professional women from Phoenix, Arizona, and is part of the Golden West Region (GWR) of Soroptimist International of the Americas. SIC meets three Wednesdays a month, September through May from 7am-8am at the University Club (across from the Heard Museum) in downtown Phoenix.

Program meetings are a special facet of Soroptimist International. A featured speaker talks about topics of interest to women, personal and professional growth, authors, survivors, experts, current events and community issues.

The hub of Soroptimist International of Camelback is the focus on service to women and the community through fundraising and volunteerism. Through fundraising efforts and hands-on projects SI Camelback makes an impact!
